The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim is a Spanish indie and alternative music festival that is returning to the charming coastal town of Benicàssim in northern Valencia in summer 2022.
The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim attracts fans from all over the world who are attracted by the huge and varied line-ups and the sunny coastal location.
Since the music only starts in the evening hours, there is enough time during the day to relax on the beach, explore the area or enjoy one of the numerous activities such as boat trips, diving, sailing, windsurfing, cycling, and more.
The beach town of Benicàssim is located a little north of Valencia on the Costa del Azahar (coast of the orange blossom) and has welcomed the festival since 1995.
Benicàssim is a municipality and beach resort located in the province of Castelló, on the Costa del Azahar in Spain. The Desert de les Palmes mountain range further inland shelters the town from the north wind. The name is derived from the Banu Qasim tribe, a segment of the Kutama Berbers that settled the area during the 8th century Moorish conquest of Spain.
Benicassim is located 13 km north of the town of Castelló de la Plana, at the north end of the Valencian Community.
Just inland from Benicàssim lies the Desert of the Palms. The area is not a literal desert, but a protected natural area and a small mountain range with a maximum elevation of 729 meters (at the peak of Mount Bartolo). The Columbretes Islands are visible from the top of the range on clear days.
